Heritage Economics

Though never far from the spotlight, planning reform is a key aspect of the new government’s growth agenda. Good strategic planning and urban design, and a clear understanding of heritage and the built environment, can help to achieve interconnected economic, social and environmental targets. Likewise, the historic environment can be a source of inspiration for sustainable development. This talk will explore:
- how heritage fits into the Government’s growth agenda;
- economic viability;
- heritage, high streets and housing;
- planning for heritage – a more strategic view.
This online talk will be followed by a Q&A chaired by HTVF board member, Tanya Szendeffy.
Speaker: Dave Chetwyn, MA, MRTPI, IHBC, FIoL, FRSA. Managing Director/Partner of Urban Vision Enterprise and Chair of Communications and Outreach Committee, IHBC
Chair: Tanya Szendeffy, HTVF Board Member
21st August, 1.30 – 2.30pm, BST. Tickets are available via Eventbrite.
